01

Your family’s traditions lead the brief

South Indian weddings do not share one ceremony format or one visual style. Start by telling us which events you are hosting, who is extending the invitation and how you would like family names to appear. A church ceremony, a temple wedding or a celebration in a wedding hall can each call for a different order of information.

Bring references that mean something to you: a colour palette, a floral arrangement, an architectural detail or a simple typography-led design. Traditional motifs can be discussed alongside a contemporary layout; they are choices for your invitation, not defaults imposed on every family.

  • Exact couple, parent and host names, with approved spelling
  • Your event order and any family-approved ceremony terminology
  • Full venue names, locality and checked map destinations
  • Language requirements and who will approve the final text
02

Plan regional-language wording before the layout

If your invitation needs Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada or more than one language, include that requirement in the first conversation. Provide the approved wording and identify who will review it. The length of names, line breaks and the chosen fonts affect readability on a phone.

We discuss the language layout and feasibility in the proposal. Translation, language switching and a particular font are not assumed features. Keep the important event details easy to find in whichever language arrangement you approve, especially for guests who may not read every version.

03

Make the ceremony time and venue unmistakable

Separate the ceremony, reception and other functions when they have different times or locations. If your brief includes a muhurtham or another specific ceremony time, use the wording and timing supplied by your family or officiant. For guests travelling from overseas, identify the event’s local time clearly.

Before sending the link through WhatsApp, ask a family member to review every name and event detail. Check that a map opens the intended entrance rather than a nearby venue with a similar name. Include arrival notes or accommodation guidance you want guests to receive, within the agreed scope.

A little clarity

Your invitation questions, answered.

Can a South Indian wedding e-invite be modern rather than traditional?

Yes. The brief can favour minimal typography, photography, botanical design or a traditional visual direction. Share the mood and references you prefer; a South Indian wedding does not require a single preset colour palette or set of symbols.

Can I request Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam or Kannada wording?

Share your required languages and approved text before the quotation. We will discuss layout, font suitability and feasibility with you. Translation services, automatic language switching and support for a particular script must be confirmed in the project scope.

Can the invitation show a ceremony time and a separate reception?

Yes. Supply each event’s date, time and venue, and confirm which guests should see those details. The invitation can be planned with clear event sections so a reception time is not confused with the ceremony time.

Can South Indian families living abroad enquire?

Yes. Enquiries are welcome from India and internationally. Send your event destination, date, language requirements and design references so we can discuss the brief and confirm a proposal remotely.
